World Cup will see its way to for the first time toRussia and Qatar to host World Cup in 2018 and 2022 Eastern Europe and Middle East in 12 years time. FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter made the announcement of its Executive Committee’s secret ballot on Thursday 2 December 2010, hours after all the bidders made their presentations in Zurich’s Messe.

“For 2018 and 2022 we go to new lands, because the FIFA World Cup has never been in eastern Europe or the Middle East”, FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter said.

China’s PMI rose indicating manufacturing growth acceleration December 1, 2010

China’s logistics federation reported in its website today that the Purchasing Managers’ Index rose from 54.7 to 55.2 in October.

That means China’s manufacturing grew at a faster pace for 4th straight month in November which indicates the economy can withstand higher interest rates as price pressures increase. (Read more)

World AIDS Day December 1, 2010

Today is World Aids Day.

According to annual report by UNAIDS released last week, there were an estimated 54,000 and 3,900 new infection in the United States and Germany, respectively, last year. In addition, there are an estimated 1.2 million AIDS sufferers in the US, with 67,000 in Germany and almost 85,000 in Britain.

U2’s Irish rock legend Bono launched and ambitious call for the generation born in 5 years time (2015) to be the first in 30 years to live without AIDS. This happens as landmarks around the world are lit up in (RED) to mark today as World AIDS Day… (Read more)

Jim Kelly dies December 1, 2010

It is also a sad day for many of us who know Jim Kelly, a respected hockey Hall of Fame journalist who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer at just 61 years old.
